Here are some pictures from my dinner at Norda Bar & Grill, Gothenburg's latest "hotspot". It's been fully booked since their grand opening two months ago. The dining area is very elegant and stylish. I've always liked the post office, and you can still see parts of the old building. 

The food was not very impressive and the service was a bit disorganized, but friendly. However I still think it's a nice place to hang out with friends.

If you are looking for a Shanghainese family style restaurant in Gothenburg, then this is the place to go. The food is good, everything is made from scratch, and the price is very reasonable, definitely worth a visit! Corner Café has only around 20 seats, so it can be crowded at peak times.

Here are some pictures from yesterday. I went to Särö, it's located near Kungsbacka, south of Gothenburg. Really cozy! I would definitely go back, but maybe when it's warmer. And I had a fantastic dinner at Restaurant Blomstermåla. Just love these kind of mini getaways.

Today I went to this little new Asian/Fusion restaurant on Kastellgatan. It has only been opened a week ago, and they have had a full house since day one. The menu is simple, they have Wontons, Dumplings, Steamed Buns and some side orders. The food was ok and the price was reasonable. But what I liked the most was the lovely staff. They took good care of us and made our visit very enjoyable.

I had a great time at Tapasbaren today. This little cozy place opened for about a month ago in Majorna, my best tapas experience in Gothenburg so far. Love their Pan Con Aioli, my guess is that the bread is from their neighbor Cum Pane.

Benvenuti a Nonna

 

I went to this new Italian restaurant last week, well it's actually not really new, more like change of name, menu and decor, but it's still the same owner. Etc Grande is now called Nonna, and it means granny in Italian. I really like their new makeover, the restaurant has now three sections, the terrace, the kitchen and the living room. It's like going home to someone. A great place to spend time with friends and loved ones.

The food was good, not the best Italian that I've had, but I like that the dishes felt very traditional. I strongly recommend the osso buco.

Malmö

I was in Malmö a few weeks ago. It was only a short visit, but what a great visit it was. Malmö is a very cosy city with a lot of great cuisines and the best thing is, it's very close to lovely Copenhagen!

Here are three places that I would like to recommend.

Great French bakery. I so envy Malmö!

Lilla Kafferosteriet (Baltzarsgatan 24)
It's like stepping into a rustic cottage, set in town. A very popular place, where they roast their own coffee beans.

Sit at the bar and just enjoy!

The cutest coffee bar ever. So sweet, and the owner is so nice! Iced Latte go to. Yes, please!

I got the munchies! Yes, I went to two places for lunch and rounded up with an iced latte. Now I can hold out til dinner. =)

Strömmingsluckan and Gourmet Korv are two great lunch spots, highly recommended!

It has been a while since I've been at Bon. I like this place, it reminds me a little of Paris. A brasserie where you can have a glass of wine/champagne and sit for hours with your company. I like it when it's simple!

I went to Sjöbaren Lorensberg without a reservation and the restaurant was fully booked, on a Tuesday?! But the nice waiter suggested that we could eat at the bar and that was perfect, 'cause I love sitting at the bar. I started with a glas of cava and for starter Smoked Tuna, main course Fish Soup (sorry no picture), dessert Tiramisu and Petit Fours and to go with the desserts Tequila Añejo. The Smoked Tuna was delicious and so was the dessert. The soup was okay, as a fish soup should be. The fact is that when it comes to "Western Cuisine", I'm more a starter and dessert kind of person.

On the whole, I had a nice dinner at Sjöbaren. They took really good care of us and the food was great.
